5v5, Bo1 up to Finals, Bo3 Grand Finals, Limited player signups (12 Teams)
Heroes of the Storm is played in the format of 5 v 5, double elimination.
All matches will be played as a best-of-1 (bo1) up until the finals, then a best-of-3 series (bo3) to determine the winner of the tournament. Winning team from the top bracket will have a +1 point lead going in to the Grand Finals and will only require to win 1 game to win the tournament.
All available Heroes can be used in a match.
Team RED with First pick will ban 1 hero first
Team BLUE with Second pick will ban 1 hero next
Team RED with First pick will pick 1 hero next
Both teams will now pick 2 hero each until the team with first pick has all 5 heroes
Team with Second pick will finish the draft with 1 last hero pick
Tournament Administrator will setup external links for Team Captains using the following drafting tools provided to them. Drafting will be monitored by the tournament administrator at various times, but full autonomy will be handled by the team captains going forward with their selected matches.
Teams can agree to a re-match, if they think it’s needed to play a fair and balanced match or to solve technical problems.
A re-match has to be played with the same picks and bans. In the case it’s impossible for a player to join a started match, because of a bug, which makes it impossible to connect to a match after bans & picks, a re-match has to be made if the match is not older then 1 minute. A screenshot as proof of the bug presented to the Tournament Admin.
If a team leaves the match before it normally ends, then this team forfeits the match and a loss is awarded.
No pauses are allowed, unless under certain circumstances such as player disconnect or requiring assistance from the Tournament Administrator.
